NOVEMBER 30, 1940 THROUGH JULY 23, 1993

by Tim Hammelman, Journal of Medical Systems, Vol. 17(6) 1993: 337-338

Excerpt from the article: "David's intellectual brilliance and mathematical genius were apparent to those who had the privilege of working with him and witnessing his keen observation, quick analysis and powerful problem solving ability. But more impressive was his uncanny ability to resolve human conflicts in committees and consortia, to bring consensus among powerful egos with differing agendas, uniting them in pursuit of worthwhile common goals. He motivated through building and protecting each individuals personal esteem and creating faith in their ability to accomplish lofty, seemingly unreachable goals. He promoted friendship, perseverance, concern for human needs and longterm outlook."
